SOFCs, which generate electricity at temperatures near 800°C, are usually installed in an electric furnace, so it is not possible to observe SOFC conditions during power generation.
We have independently prepared a visualization and evaluation facility that can observe SOFCs during power generation, and have succeeded in observing SOFC conditions during power generation.
To confirm the durability of the stacks we are dealing with, we are checking the voltage transition of SOFC stacks over time.
The voltage drop is estimated to be less than 0.1% for up to 800hr, and even after more than 10,000 hours of use, the voltage drop is estimated to be less than 1%.
We are developing new current collectors to minimize the contact resistance of the interconnector with the cells, which contributes to the power generation efficiency of SOFCs.
